The Flight Test Diploma Course

Giorgio Clementi developed the Flight Test Diploma course in 1996 and has presented the course to numerous customers both in the UK and in Canada. The course is increasingly attractive as it provides comprehensive training spanning all the necessary subject areas, but at a much reduced cost. The FTD is aimed at military or civilian pilots and engineers who will be engaged in flight tests within a previously established flight envelope. These include procurement evaluations, operational test and evaluation, certification flight tests. The course is 24 weeks in duration and consists of 400 hours of groundschool 55 hours of flight, 15 aircraft types. It consists of Performance, Stability and Control, Fly-by-Wire, Avionics and systems testing modules. Variable Stability flights are optional.

The option for civilian pilots is 15 weeks in duration, includes 300 hours of groundschool, 35 flights on 10 aircraft types. It consists of Performance, Stability and Control, Fly-by-Wire, Avionics and systems testing modules. Variable Stability flights are optional.

The ITPS Flight Test Diploma course is compliant with EASA FCL.820 requirements for Class 2 Test Pilot rating.

Rockwell RC700

The Flight Test Certificate Course

Created for military or civilian pilots and engineers who will be engaged in limited flight tests or check flights on certified aircraft within a previously established flight envelope. These include procurement evaluations, operational test and evaluation, certification flight tests, maintenance flight tests, technical evaluations. The course is 5 weeks in duration and consists of 105 hours of groundschool 25 hours of flight, 5 aircraft types. It covers Performance, Stability and Control, Avionics and systems testing.

The Avionics Systems Flight Test Diploma Course

The Avionics Flight Test programme is for test pilots, flight test engineers and Avionics Systems specialists. The course is normally 28 weeks in duration and is designed to qualify test crews to undertake the full spectrum of avionics and weapons flight testing. The programme has proven to be a sound qualification for members of a flight test team, involved in procurement, service release trials, operational test and evaluation and production and development roles. The course provides a solid grounding in the principles of avionics systems flight test, coupled to exposure to a variety of modern aircraft and data acquisition and analysis facilities. The course broadens the student’s experience through industry visits and flight test exercises at major military flight test or research establishments. Graduates of the ITPS Avionics Flight Test course have repeatedly proven to be extremely well prepared to undertake aircraft and systems flight testing on a number of projects worldwide.

UAS Training

Unmanned Aerial Systems Test And Evaluation Course

ITPS offers cost effective flight test training for operational pilots and engineers who will be involved in the testing of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). The course provides a solid grounding in UAS technology, flight operations and the principles and techniques of UAS flight test. The ITPS training programme is unique in that it provides candidates with a complete education in the discipline of flight testing as it relates to Unmanned Air Systems specifically. Whilst other establishment provide short course training or enroll UAS pilots on one year test pilot courses, neither approach is efficient nor adequately prepares the candidates for the particular challenges of UAS testing. The ITPS programme has been designed specifically for UAS pilots and operators and is taught by experts in the field with experience of many UAS flight test programs. The ITPS UAS Flight Test Course is a vital investment in success by any organisation seeking to develop Unmanned Air Systems

The course is five (5) weeks in duration including practical test flying and UAS systems evaluation. It consists of a number of lecture modules and optional practical modules.
